An Awesome Tiny House

My happy retirement goal would be to someday simplify my life and live in a tiny house and this would be a perfect size. It’s 876 sq. ft. according to the city of Grand Rapids, but wow, it’s the perfect cottage style environment for some with tongue & groove walls and ceilings, and comfy, simple and bright rooms. Gather around the gas log fireplace in the living room, set up snacks for a few friends in the kitchen, the bedrooms each have built in wardrobes which you can use with or without shelves. To save space, the owner built a hinged door that opens to the basement. Keep it closed when you need the space. Genius! Laundry is currently downstairs but there is water hookups ready to finish in the bathroom if you want a main floor laundry.  In warmer weather enjoy your front porch, it overlooks your yard which is on a cul de sac for privacy. House sits on the very corner of the large lot, has a detached 2 stall garage, and underground sprinkling.  Unique and charming, you’ll fall in love.

Let’s compare February 2024 to 2023

I’ve heard a few people say they are waiting for the prices of homes to go down. There is nothing to indicate that will happen, quite the contrary, they are up 14.8% from a year ago. All the more reason to land where you want to be now and enjoy your life. I’m always available for a cup of coffee to chat about your housing goals. Call me at 616.292.3712

What is the last thing you learned?

The last thing I learned is that no matter your age, your attitude is what will define you. If you live with the attitude that you are old, you will act and be old. If you live with an attitude that there is so much life left and so much to experience, then, God willing, you will do so. Iris Apfel and Betty White exemplified that mindset for me and I’m all in.

Could this be your next home?

Stand Alone Condominiums

Cherry Valley Meadows

One of my favorite places for both condos and single family homes is Cherry Valley Meadows. Located off Cherry Valley Road and 76th St.’s in Caledonia they have a nice rural feel with walking paths but with easy access to the East Beltline to get you to shopping areas. This stand alone condominium, presented by Julie Hayes from Berkshire Hathaway, has just over 1,700 sq. ft on the main level where you can easily do all of your living and yet have room for family and guests on the lower level. Priced at $564,900. it’s a beautiful home and it just may have everything you’re after. Call me if you’d like to see it or would like to be kept updated on Cherry Valley Meadows. 616.292.3712
