Karen and Robbie check out Eastown
This week these 2 Realtors are on a quest to see what Eastown is all about. The area is roughly located on the SE side of town with Fuller bordering on the west, Lake Dr./Robinson Rd on the north, east to Plymouth, and south to Franklin. There is a wide range of housing prices from entry level $100,000 upwards to $300,000. EastownGR describes itself as “Grand Rapids hippest neighborhood, where the area’s character is reflected in an eclectic mix of specialty shops and galleries, restaurants and coffee houses …” PERFECT!!!
Stop #1 on our tour was a charming little shop called Eastown Antiques, proprietor Mike Dykhouse. We found a treasure trove of signs, wall hangings, kitchen items, knick-knacks, furniture, lamps, and so much more. If looking for different memorabilia or are interested in selling some, you must stop here! PS There is a fabulous garden fountain near the front door, hurry and see this one before I go back snatch it up. 🙂 🙂 Check out their Facebook Page
Stop #2 was lunch at Harmony Brewing Company One of my local favorites. Always fabulous service and atmosphere, and with the great weather we were able to eat outdoors. Lena was our friendly waitress, who has the sweetest voice and would like to go into voice acting, who quickly took our order which absolutely had to start with lavender cosmo’s YES!!! I had the Eastown Folk Funk pizza, a 12″ creation made with spinach, kalamata olives and goat cheese and Robbie had Mother Nature’s Winter Son a vegetarian sandwich cranberries, caramelized onions, spinach, goat cheese, homemade pesto and poppyseed dressing served with kettle chips. I think Robbie just joined me as a fan. Thanks Lena!
Stop #3 Gallery 154 We chatted with owners Kate and Christine Lichtenstein who delighted us with their 2 story shop filled with local artist’s paintings, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, purses and scarfs, or as they put it on their Facebook Page “unpredictable gifts”. Some of their pieces are by husband/father Ron, who displays his wonderful fountains and a truly elegant birdhouse. This is such a captivating place to look for gifts when the ordinary ones for your favorite people just won’t do. Thanks Kate and Christine! Visit their Facebook Page
We don’t just show homes, we showcase your neighborhood. If you are looking to buy or sell a home in Eastown, call Karen and Robbie for excellent service with smiles. And, until next time … CHEERS from 2 Real Estate Agents and a City !!

Launching 2 Real Estate Agents and a City
Karen Jason-Gill and Robbie Bosch are officially launching 2 Real Estate Agents and a City in Grand Rapids, MI. Why? Because there is more to life than the house in which you live. There is your neighborhood, your community or association area, your schools, your events happening throughout the city, and we want to be a part of ALL of that!! So, while our passion remains in listing, marketing and selling homes, we want to be a part of the bigger picture. We will do that by slides, pictures and video’s of select West Michigan homes and learning from the best in the tools of our trade including mortgage lenders, home inspectors, handi”men” 🙂 radon mitigators, surveyors and more. We will also be attending FUN events, trying different restaurants, shops, and venues. So follow us as we move around the city!!!
Thanks also to Alicia VanHeulen and Thomas Birks for your major assistance in video editing and production. We’d like to thank Katie L Smith Consulting/Business Services for all her help in social media strategizing! You are awesome and we appreciate your continued support and advice.
